Finally we have some good news for everyone!
But first, a quick update on the announcement Governor Inslee made on August 3rd, 2020. The main points that immediately affect the gym are in regards to occupancy and social distancing. We are on the larger side of the spectrum when it comes to building size, and per the most recent update, facilities 12,000 square feet or larger can move to a 25% occupancy limit (per fire code). The second big point was that we must move from six feet of social distancing to 300square feet per person, this equates to roughly 8.5 feet in a circle around you. For simplicity, we’ll round up to 9 feet here at GreenLake Fitness.
Although we can open up the gym at any one given time to 25% capacity, we want to make sure we are able to regulate the number of members we have in any one given area to promote this new social distancing standard. So we will be moving back to 5 workout zones and be adjusting the occupancy limits in each zone starting August 17th, 2020. Please view our website to see a zone map and pictures of all the equipment in each zone.

So the good news is that with the new update, many of the previous restrictions have been lifted and this will allow us to operate at normal hours starting August 17th, 2020! We’ll be open 5am through 10pm Monday through Friday and 7am to 7pm on weekends.
In addition to this, the “high risk” population has been changed from “not permitted” in fitness facilities to “not recommended.” While we have online workouts available and there are a variety of options for outdoor training, our members that are of the age of 65 and above can now return to the gym as long as they sign a “high risk” member waiver. Please email us directly if you would like to be sent a copy, but we will have them at the front desk as well.
We will still be doing reservation based workouts at GreenLake Fitness, so please check out our website and become familiar with how to sign-in and reserve a workout time/zone. We are so excited to welcome back our early morning, late night, and senior members!
A couple notes about reservations:
-Please do not reserve multiple zones for the same time block or day, you are taking away valuable spots for other members to come to the gym. (added 9/21/20) Please limit your visits to the gym to once per day. Although there may be an open slot in the next time block or availability later in the day, this takes away opportunities from other members who have not yet visited the gym that day to do so on a walk-in or last minute reservation basis.
-If you are not able to attend your reservation, please log onto your account through our website, navigate to the “My Schedule” section, and click “cancel” on the appointments you will not be able to make. Please do this at least 24hrs prior to allow other members to book the slots in time.
-Please be mindful about your reservation times and leaving promptly. GLF staff only has 15 minutes to clean between zone bookings (this allows us to fit as many booking blocks in the day as we can), so it is important to clean up and leave your zone on time.

Health Screening Questions:

2. Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or a sore throat?
3. Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
4. Have you had a loss of taste or smell?
